First edition book of authentic hand drawn and large original cross section drawings of the Southern Pacific Ps-4 Class Pacific passenger train service that operated in the southeastern quarter of the United States. Published in 1973 by Wildwood Publications, having been edited by William C. Fitt, this spiral bound book is quite a large piece that contains 32 pages (many of which fold out) of detailed drawings used in the construction and maintenance of this locomotive. This book is 45 cm (18 inches) in width and 28 cm (11 inches) in height, and was produced to encourage the construction of Live Steam operating models of these particular locomotives.

This portfolio of drawings was prepared with initial permission of the Southern Railway System, with all drawings copied directly from original inked drawings obtained from the Southern’s drawing file, which were provided at a scale of ½ inch = 1 foot.
