Pershing G. Scott, also known as "Scotty", began pulication of the [[Live Steam Magazine|Live Steam Newsletter]] in Iowa in 1960.  Scotty continued publication until ownership was transferred to [[William Fitt]] in 1966.

Pershing G. Scott, also known as "Scotty", began publication of the Live Steam Newsletter in Iowa in 1960. Scotty continued publication until ownership was transferred to William Fitt in 1966.

Scotty was also instrumental in the formation of the Iowa Model Steam Engineers.

Pershing was born on January 10, 1919, and died on June 12, 2002 at 83 years of age.
