- In 1995 Steve and Susan Flanders began the construction of their railroad. This private hobby, which started with a simple circle in their back yard, has grown to over 11,000 feet of 7 1/2" gauge rail and 5,000 feet of 24" gauge rail and more than 90 engines and cars in both sizes. And it’s still growing!
- S&S is especially proud of its 24-inch gauge train exhibit that features a diesel-powered engine, an electric trolley, more than 10 passenger cars, a caboose, a 1914 Model T Rail Bus, 5-inch scale GE Dash 8 Road Locomotive, and our show stopping Crown Steam Locomotive. Each car has its own unique history.
- Every piece and many aspects of the park have been carefully selected to reflect our great appreciation and love for the railroad. From the full-sized replica of a 1920s Union Pacific Freight Station that houses our snack bar, gift shop, and museum to the turn-of-the-century narrow gauge D&RGW #3177 Boxcar, there is something that appeals to everyone.
