- Within industry, piping is a system of pipes used to convey fluids (liquids and gases) from one location to another. The engineering discipline of piping design studies the efficient transport of fluid.
- Boilermakers and pipefitters are not plumbers although they work with piping as part of their trade and their work can include some plumbing.
Sizing
- Steam supply lines are typically 3/8 inch diameter pipe
- Injector lines are typically 5/16 inch diameter tube
- Blower line is typically 1/4 inch diameter tube
Sealing
- I have been very happy with LocTite 567 High Temperature Thread Sealant with PTFE.
