From Chaski.org, March 2019:

LocoParts acquired all of the original tooling for the entire Tru-Scale fittings the was developed by Mr. Wilson back in the 1930's 40's and 50's and sold through Coles Power Models. We are in the process of producing new permanent molds to have all the castings investment cast in Silicon bronze.
Globe and Angle valves with lost wax silicone bronze bodies are currently available in 3/16, 1/4 and 5/16 MTP sizes. There are a few of new / old stock items on hand.

Jeffrey Dute posted on Facebook, December 2020:

LocoParts did not purchase the stock on molds from Coles' Power Models. LocoParts purchased the Tru-Scale fitting line that Coles' used to offer. The Tru-Scale line was developed by Mr. Wilson in Northern California in the 30’s and 40’s, and team up with Coles' in the Mid 50’s and the fitting line was offered by Coles' as a reseller. Mr. Wilson supplied these fittings to Coles' until he sold the Tru-scale line to Mr. Darr in Northern California. Mr. Darr Supplied Coles' fittings until it was sold and moved to Texas. I acquired the original work holding, Tooling, Fixtures procedures, standards and New old stock. I even have the original drawings and specs for the Tapered Model Pipe Thread Series. These fitting were originally sand castings and I am in the process of making permanent molds so everything will be lost wax casting in silicon bronze. I did not obtain the original patterns for the sand casting they are with Coles.
There is much more to this story but I wanted every one to understand the story and origin’s of the fittings that I offer and will be releasing in the future.
