It was very kind that Cap Purinton loaned me four of the old photo albums
during the Waushakum meet last August. I haven’t listed all the locos I
noticed in those files yet – I still have 10 or so to go. But I wanted to
have this updated version out before the end of the year. This is only the
third version this year, note the code “18-03”.

Eastern Europe,
Perhaps a few things now make more sense: I think both of the
standard-gauge-style 2-4-4T’s were built by Gene Stevens in the 1930s-40s.
Removing the glitches and errors is of course a constant task – always
helpful for any and all additions and corrections.

In the files I have changed my eMail from “web.de” to “gmx.de” as seen
below. Not a big deal; I use three-four addresses total and nothing needs to
be sent double.

Dear friends!
Hearty Christmas greetings,

With the sad passing of Ken Shattock on 6 May, I have suddenly needed to revise a good number of “contact” entries.
Bill Yoder

The number of entries curve is leveling off: only 13 completely new entries since the last version in March. Now up to 383. I’m sure there are 500+ yet to go. Yes, it would be much easier to make progress if I could attend the major ¾” events in the USA. So I need the aid of other people’s eyes and ears. All kinds of information holes remain. All are invited to fill in the holes or correct info.

A few men have kindly sent along thorough reports on their locos, which is much appreciated! One of the recent ones is Larry Fisher on the 0-4-0T under the foreign-prototype entries. See: “040T.Purinton.Corwin”.

Still no news on the Langworthy Hudson designated “464.NYC5297.Langworthy”.

Another old request: I appreciate it if people publishing photos on the Internet, for ex. on the Chaski forum or Facebook, would include more info, including at least owner, builder and location of photo.

Gvardeysk/Russia,

10 December 2018

Dear friends:

Great to have met a number of you and also the locos during August in Mass.! That also includes Daris Nevil from Texas. It would be really neat to crash the Montreal LS anniversary meet in June 2019, but the time doesn’t suit.

It was very kind that Cap Purinton loaned me four of the old photo albums during the Waushakum meet last August. I haven’t listed all the locos I noticed in those files yet – I still have 10 or so to go. But I wanted to have this updated version out before the end of the year. This is only the third version this year, note the code “18-03”.

Perhaps a few things now make more sense: I think both of the standard-gauge-style 2-4-4T’s were built by Gene Stevens in the 1930s-40s. Removing the glitches and errors is of course a constant task – always helpful for any and all additions and corrections.

In the files I have changed my eMail from “web.de” to “gmx.de” as seen below. Not a big deal; I use three-four addresses total and nothing needs to be sent double.

Hearty Christmas greetings,

Bill Yoder
