Karlson Model Products was a live-steam equipment supplier founded and operated by William F. Addison and Paul A. Karl.

The product line was acquired by Cannonball Enterprises Ltd on December 1982, as announced by a full page advertisement in Live Steam Magazine, July 1983.

History

Karlson Model Products "Lil Gasser" advertisement from Florida Live Steamers Yearbook 1975

Dave Sclavi writes:

Paul Karl was a salesman of hobby products. He worked for a company in Philadelphia. Bill Addison was a pattern maker and was also Paul’s cousin. They started Karlson Model Products in the mid 1970's. They later sold the business to Cannonball Ltd. Most of the Cannonball line is from Karlson KMP. Cannonball also bought out Koster's Miniature Railroad Supplies, Inc from Bill Koster around the same time. Since then Cannonball has added some other products.
KMP also made the “Little Mack” and the “little Gasser”.
