Dear friends!
Yes, I’m not in North America now, but I did just spend the last three months mostly in Florida, where my parents reside. Got a good bit of steaming done, but it was all 7-1/2 inch.
Now we’re up to 370 locos in this 3.5-inch-gauge roster. All kinds of information holes remain. All are invited to fill in the holes or correct info.
The matter of a code designation for each loco may not be perfect yet, we may need to file and shape some more. But they are now at least alphabetized in the correct order.
Still no news on the Langworthy Hudson designated “464.NYC5297.Langworthy”.
Pat Fahey has been a significant help on issue 17-01, the first one for 2017. Thanks very much! A question, Pat: How correct is my information on the 4-6-6T I assume you still possess?
Another old request: I would really appreciate it if people publishing photos on the Internet, for ex. on the Chaski forum or Facebook, would include more info, including at least owner, builder and location.
Best regards,
Bill Yoder

Dear friends:

This is the first update of the directory since 31 January 2025. We’re up to 734 locos now – 24 more than last time. I’ve updated a similar number of existing files. I always appreciate it when I’m sent new info or corrections – that always improves the quality of the registry.

We have at least two new jewels in this edition of the roster: an exquisite narrow-gauge Lynton & Barnstable 2-6-2T from the UK (file roster #14) advertised on eBay from California. The other one is a UP 8444 4-8-4 (file roster #12) from New Zealand which has apparently disappeared somewhere within that country.

All the best for 2026,
Bill Yoder
