Yankee Shop was a manufacturer of live steam locomotives. It was founded by Lester Friend.

- The “Friend’s” Atlantic was NOT designed by Mr. (Lester) Friend. It was the work of Alan Armitage who was also very famous for his work with narrrow gauge and O scale model railroads.
