The Iron Pony manufactured 1 inch scale model railroad equipment. It was founded by brothers Mike and Joe Devlin. It was subsequently sold to Rob Johnston in 2000, who renamed it Riding Railkits Inc.
The Iron Pony Demonstrator Loco Set in 1 inch scale, 4-3/4 inch gauge. F7 A (powered) and B (riding dummy) units, fabricated, assembled and finished by Joe and Mike Devlin at The Iron Pony in Anaheim, CA. Units are museum-quality detailed and ready to run. Includes electronic sound system with horn, bell, stepped diesel effects, and simulated Mars light. B unit is set up as riding car, with built-in control panel and removable seat / floorboards, but trucks are sprung to allow both ride-on and ride-behind configuration. Built in 2002.
