    • Note 1: Most tracks are being built to 7.5625" to 7.625 gauge to reduce railhead wear.
    • Note 2: The 2°50' taper is listed in the AAR Wheel and Axle Manual as a 1 in 20 which works out to 2°51'44.6588" or 2.8624°. Coupler height from center of coupler to the top of the rail. 2.19" (in 3/4" scale) 2.89" (in 1" scale) 4.38" (in 1.5" scale)
