Polio

The following note appeared in The Miniature Locomotive, January/February 1953:

Steve Booth On Sidelines
Steve Booth, whom many of you know for his story "On Time, Rain or Shine", is in the Henry Ford Hospital with polio. We are happy to report that his condition is considered "excellent." He should be home by the time you read this. His address, 460 So. Glenhurst Drive, Birmingham, Michigan. A cheery letter won't go amiss.
