Obituary

Scott Weatherford suffered a massive heart attack and died a few days later on 18 August 2020.

Cindy Weatherford posted the following on Facebook, 18 August 2020:

I know many of you have heard that I lost my beloved Scott Weatherford today. He fought his battle so hard and I am so grateful that he is now at rest and loving on his sweet mama in heaven. I know that this will be a difficult road to travel. I just got home to find reminders of Scott everywhere. His shoes are in the living room where he sometimes left them. The Star Wars shirt that he wore around the house a lot is in the bedroom chair. I am already finding that there will be random things that pop in my mind about him. I sat down and turned on Netflix and thought, “I wonder if there is any popcorn for Scott to fix for us”. He was our designated popcorn maker. And while this road will be painful at times I wouldn’t trade it at all. For without it I would have lost 5 of the best years of my life. That makes it worth doing all over again.
Thank you all again for the love, prayers, and support that we have felt this last week. I am truly amazed by it all. We love you all and are so blessed to have each of you in our lives. This picture was taken by Deb Weatherford recently and it is just how we are. All the love, the friendship, and the companionship. Enjoy riding the rails in heaven Scott. Your conductor will see you soon.
