: An effort to organize Live Steam outdoor railroad enthusiasts in the Houston, Harris Country, Texas, vicinity is now underway.  While the present majority interest resides in 7-1/2 inch gauge track to accommodate 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0 inch scale equipment, the organizers welcome participation by all individuals with an interest in outdoor railroading, or in other Live Steam machinery.  A formal club structure is planned, and the major objective is to develop a club facility and track.  Interested parties should contact [[Jim Jackson]], Chairman, H.A.L.S. Formation Committee.
