Ken Shattock with his one-inch scale 6-2-0 British 'CRAMPTON' in Oakland, CA., 1973. CRAMPTON was the 19th locomotive constructed by Victor Shattock and was completed in 1969. The Prototype is circa 1845. The smaller brass loco sitting next to the CRAMPTON is a 1/4-inch scale, O-gauge model of a Southern Pacific GS-1 4-8-4 that was built by EBMES co-Founder and GGLS member Walter I. Brown. It too was Live Steam and burned denatured alcohol for fuel.
