His hobby is Tom Thumb Railroading. He spent more than 3200 hours building this oil-burner, the Lelia Stacy", an 1100 pound, 7-1/2 inch gauge replica of the Southern's 1387. She operates on 15 to 90 pounds of steam, although her boiler has been tested for 250 pounds pressure. Diameter of driving wheels, 9-5/16 inches. From "Railroad Magazine", 1939.)

Johnson, 100 E. 11th St., St. Paul, Minnesota. Mr Johnson began in 1926 to make his own drawings and patterns, later did his own machine work and finished the job in 1931. The locomotive and tender are 14 feet long. The engine is 37 inches high and is equipped with Walschaert valve gear, Wootten type firebox, and superheater units.
