Abner Doble (March 26, 1890 – July 16, 1961) was an American mechanical engineer who built and sold steam-powered automobiles as Doble Steam Cars.

Doble was also a pioneer in Live Steam.

Model Engineer

As indicated by his journal entry of 12 February 1930, Doble did indeed send a letter with photos to Model Engineer magazine. His information was published in 1932 in Volume 66 page 77. The Model Engineer index provides the following information:
