1000 KW M-16, pier mounted, unit in peak skimming operation for the municipality of Hagerstown, Maryland. This unit was delivered in June, 1956. A drought on the East Coast lowered the water supply so far that the base load turbine operation was endangered. The unit was available to assist for base load.
