The EMC-TA was a model of diesel locomotive produced for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad by the Electro-Motive Corporation in 1937.
Lawrence W. Sauer, a Minneapolis machinist, built this EMC TA trainset. He operted it Mennehaha Park. It represents 27 months of full-time work. More than 1,750 rivets went into this streamliner built by a Minneapolis machinist. From "Popular Science", March 1953.
