Ulin Locomotive Works was founded by Richard Ulin of Colorado.

As of June 2017 all Ulin line was purchase by Alco West Locomotives.

Rob Gardner posted the following on Facebook, April 2026:

Accucraft bought Richard Ulin's patterns and castings including those for the 2.5 inch scale K-27 that he had designed and offered, but I don't believe they are currently being offered for sale.
