Formation

by George Murray

The Live Steamer, March-April 1950

The Victoria Society of Model and Experimental Engineers was formed at a recent meeting held at the home of W.C. Blackstaffe of Victoria, B.C. Cliff Blackstaffe was elected President and William (Bill) McDonald Secretary for one year. Seven men attended in spite of a blizzard raging outside, but all was snug and cozy in Cliff's basement. With a B&W steam boiler that Cliff installed himself, plus other proper atmosphere of lates and drill press and loco interest.
