The Chippewa Northwestern Railway Society is a one-inch scale railroad located on the grounds of the Seward County Historical Society's Museum in Goehner, Nebraska.

History

The Chippewa Northwestern Railway was founded in 1975 by Jim Culver. The railroad operated at several different locations across southeastern Nebraska until finding a home in Goehner, Nebraska on the grounds of the Seward County Historical Museum in 1990. This railroad was built to provide hands-on experiences to those interested in the hobby of Live Steam Railroading. We currently run on over 1800 feet of mainline track, in addition to numerous sidings.
