There was also time to poke around in his and Charlie's basements and look at some very old but still functioning locomotives, the legendary [[Wandering Locomotive Books]], many old photographs and blueprints, plus lots of other memorabilia from their many years of involvement in the hobby. More important was the opportunity to hear one story after another about their experiences and the people with whom they had contact.
