A Gold Spike by [[Harry Dixon]] was driven after 4-1/2 years of work by the [[Houston Live Steamers]] to celebrate completion of 440 feet of 3-1/2 inch gauge track.  4-3/4 inch gauge rail and steaming bays are next in the work program.  [[Paul DeVerter]] (far left) and his Juliet II (with Baker value gear) and George Werner (far right) with his Juliet (with slip-eccentric valve gear) touched pilots after Bob Armstrong (middle left) drove the spike with Jake DeVriese (middle right) as official witness to the ceremony.  Paul and Betty DeVerter were photographers.&lt;br /&gt;
