KosterHomesteadRR_JayFinelli_001: On a Sunday in the 1970s, a trio of Santa Fe F Units are seen pulling a flatcar and gondola through the backyard area of Bill’s Track. The span in the middle is a 5 foot high trestle which carried an elevated section of the Track. Photo by Jay Finelli. KosterHomesteadRR_JayFinelli_003: The Santa Fe Locos pass through the front yard of Bill’s home. This part of Bill’s Railroad was rather unique as it had to intersect his front driveway twice. Nicely complimenting the Railroad Atmosphere of Bill’s home was the Seaboard Coast Line’s Homestead Branch which ran past the west perimeter of the property. One can easily imagine these miniature Trains being greeted by a full sized Freight Train at this location. Jay Finelli seated on flatcar closest to locomotive.
